Compared to grid contact searches and the like, IR is also very quick as it requires a simple scan of the surface. With core sampling, it is invasive and often goes beyond the Standards of Practice from InterNACHI - plus no one want a home inspector drilling holes in their roof. As well as being a quick exercise, using thermal imaging technology is also incredibly accurate and it can pick up problems before the first symptoms are even seen. With this in mind, problems can be located and fixed before it even becomes an issue.
